Hello, welcome and a happy new year to all our readers. Our Christmas raffle was a great success and we raised the princely sum of £2244. Thank you to all who bought tickets and an extra special thank you to everyone who kindly donated the prizes. Samantha Nuttall
organised the whole thing and worked very hard to make it all go so smoothly. Thank you Sam! A list of prize winners is on display in the gym and any remaining prizes can be collected from the office.
Samantha Nuttall has been a busy girl. Sam applied to 02 for funding on behalf of the gym. They very kindly donated a cheque for £1000 towards our rebuild. Again an enormous thank you to Sam.
Thanks are also due to Duncan Tyrell from Warburtons bread. Warburtons have donated £50 to the gym.
2010 will be even busier than last year. Our links with the local community are growing stronger and demand for time in the gym seems to be at a high with adult classes and trampolining being a huge success.
The early years classes are also very popular and recreational classes are almost at full capacity.
Our awards evening was a great success and photos of the winners will be posted in the gallery soon.
The Grades proved to be a huge success too and you can see a report on these pages.
Kath Wells, who has been a stalwart at the club for more years than she would like me to recall, will be retiring on February 5th.Thank you Kath, we all wish you a long and happy retirement and look forward to welcoming you back to the club in a few months as a volunteer.
Mike.
